So I'm sitting here at home tonight watching Game 3 of the 2008 World Series between the Rays and Phillies. The game started an hour and a half later than slated because of a rain delay!! The fans on the East coast will be up late tonight! But you know what? These fans have waited over 20 years for this moment. I'm sure they would have all stayed at the ballpark even if the game didn't start until midnight. So would have I if I was in Arlington watching Texas witness its first World Series game ever.
When will the lone star state team make it to the Fall Classic? I'm only 23, but I often wonder if I will ever get to see my team play for the World Series in my lifetime. I know that this is the biggest debate amongst Ranger fans, but we have got to get serious about spending money and trades for quality starting pitching. We have got to go get ground ball pitchers! If you're a Ranger fan, then you know about the ridiculous jet streams in our stadium that turn pop flies into home runs. I shot T.R. a question a few months ago in a joking way not expecting to get an answer. He allowed me to humor myself by responding back. I asked him "what are the chances of the Rangers organization tearing down the ballpark and turning it around to make those jet streams blow into home plate?" T.R. responded "less than zero." Thanks T.R., you're the bomb
